Highlights U21 UEFA EURO 2013 Qual: ENGLAND 5-0 ICELAND Marching on towards play-off but Belgium hurdle loomes.

by Lucio Menin

LONDON. Stuart Pierce's Three Lions romped home another win without conceding but not all was well despite the thrashing score. Play is still rigid and too direct notwithstanding the training regime changes. In good view Henderson, Sordell, Kelly, Dawson and Gartner. But Oxlade-Chamberlain is the one who makes the crowd roar.

The Arsenal winger in fact was exiting the Essex capital fans almost any time he touched the ball. His change of pace, body feints and unpredictable dribbling are off-limits for the opponents albeit technically prepared like the Icelanders as he runs rings round.

It was only unfortunate that he didn't score against the same opponents he defeated single handed a month ago. However he had a say in almost all the night's goal and his rapid firing provoked the final annihilation.

Overall another solid win in the so far triumphant 'Nordic' campaign which will be determinant to qualify for the play-off. Norway in fact was forced to an 2-2 home draw by Belgium which therefore will put a lot of efforts when the receive the Young Lions in Mons on Monday night. (Live on ESPN)
